Daniel Hoffman, the man who gave up his career after a near death experience and was called by God to be a lowly servant of Christ and a voice for all people in Poverty against Socialist and Marxist oppression in Oregon was arrested outside a Safeway in Polk County Oregon last year by the Salem Police Department. At the time of the arrest, Daniel was a 2020 Primary Candidate for Mayor of Portland, had already testified at the February 2020 Oregon State Legislative Sessions over eight times including against the Salem Police Department and Mayor Chuck Bennent, actually filing a grievance against the Salem Police Department under his written testimony, and was a vocal critic of the policies left over from the State's Eugenics Boards testifying at city council meetings and community conversations meetings Promoting his "Elevator Economics Theory". Daniel, also a peaceful activist, may be best known as the man who "literally" turned the table on Mayor Wheeler during a housing first centered community conversation meeting at a Catholic University in Portland Oregon early in 2020 in front of KOIN 6 News Cameras.
Daniel's court case, case # 20CR36199, has been in Polk County for months already. Daniel, who has been claiming he's been under heavy surveillance since arriving in Portland, Oregon in Late March of 2019 and has had his internet use disrupted and manipulated while using city and county and partner networks in Oregon has called into question the actually arrest date. According to the Salem Police Department's Incident report the date of arrest was April 22nd, 2020 but the DA, according to paperwork received by Vidrio, Park and Jarvis, his court appointed Lawyer, didn't file charges until June 29th of that same year. Daniel says he wasn't at the West Salem Safeway on April 22nd. The Police Department and DA has yet to find evidence of Daniel at that location on April 22nd.
To add to the strange set of circumstances in this case. The Judge at his arraignment insisted he take a court appointed lawyer, not offering the services of the Office of Public Defense, Daniel agreed, but hesitantly. The law firm, Vidrio, Park and Jarvis was appointed to him by that Judge, but Daniel found out, they boasted on their website that they are Ex Law Enforcement and Prosecutors. At his first phone meeting with Kyle Dundas from the firm, Daniel mentioned this and said he was concerned that they might not represent him fairly. As the case progressed Kyle Dundas kept delaying the trial being set, Daniel was actively engaged in proving his innocence and continually asked the firm to acquire the evidence according to his testimony that will prove his innocence including the video files from the servers of the locations in question. Daniel, being formerly certified by Business Dot Com as a certified "Business Technology Market Expert" and a writer on that site as well as had a professional career working with some of the best technology entrepreneurs in the country, tried to explain to the firm that video files never actually get deleted, they are always stored on a server or mainframe.
Daniel is not denying that he was asked to leave a property, it just wasn't the Safeway Property. His testimony conflicts with the Salem Police Officer, Joe Scott's, Report. Daniel claims there were three incidents in question. The first, weeks earlier, Daniel noticed an unusual amount of Police presence everywhere he went, at one point he walked up to a parked Salem Police cruiser, and identified himself as a Candidate for Mayor of Portland and an Activist who testified at the Oregon Legislative Sessions, the officer took a picture of his candidacy letter with his cell phone and told him he was just there to protect the citizens of Salem, this Officer introduced himself as Joe Scott. Daniel said God Bless you and continued about his day. Then, on the actual date in question, Daniel was sitting outside the west Salem Building Codes Office and the Department of Human Services, this building is next to Safeway but a completely different address and not connected to Safeway at all, in fact there is a road separating the two. Daniel was sitting reading his bible as a silent protest and waiting to interview someone in the Building Codes office about disability rights and how the ADA effects the construction of buildings in Oregon, for an article he was going to write on "Portland Alt Delete" the online publication he founded.
While praying and reading his bible, two men approached him, one he recognized and one he didn't, Daniel says we all began talking about Jesus together and I shared some of my religious poetry with them, as we were in the middle of this religious exchange in front of these public facilities a security guard just came out of nowhere and started shouting at us to leave. The security guard never asked what we were doing, never asked if we had business in these buildings, he just said leave OR I'll call the police. I didn't believe I was breaking the law, says Daniel, these are public facilities and there wasn't any no loitering sign anywhere to be seen, Daniel opted for talking with the police. He gave the security guard his name identified himself as a journalist and activist, and waited for the police so he could explain he was well within his rights. After waiting for quite a while, one of the men he was praying with convinced him to leave and have lunch at his apartment near by, Daniel agreed. As they were walking away Polk County Sheriff Cruiser sped past and the deputy just yelled out the window not to come back. Daniel went had lunch and after hours returned in that direction on the public sidewalk careful to avoid the property that the building codes office and Department of Human Services was located. He instead went into the West Salem Safeway to buy a drink and use the restroom. Once in the store, the security guard immediately approached him with the Safeway Manager, the security guard asked him, Didn't I tell you not to come back?", Daniel replied "No, it wasn't this property", and turned to the Store Manager explained that he had a disability and needed to use the restroom, the Store Manager agreed. Daniel then lawfully used the restroom with the permission of the Store Manager. Then, when Daniel walked out of the store and was leaving the property several Salem Police Officers swarmed on him, started mocking him because of his journalism and his candidacy for Mayor, and threatened him with arrest. Daniel held his ground tried to explain the events, and said, "I am not breaking the law, if I am arrest me and I'll fight it in court". That's what they did. As they were arresting Daniel he was praying the "Our Father" out loud and the officers again began to mock him again. He was placed in the back of Officer Joe Scott's cruiser. Where he remained for a very long time. During this time Joe Scott began making phone calls, one to Multnomah County Oregon in which Joe Scott said he had suspect in custody trying to I.D., F.B.I. I.D. "Homeless Citizens Movement". After starting to cramp and bleed at the wrists, Daniel stated his disabilities to Joe Scott and said please charge me with a crime and take me to jail or release me, this is cruel and unusual punishment. Joe Scott said, that's the problem the sergeant at Polk County Jail won't take you. Joe Scott shortly after printed out a ticket that had a very old address from Florida on it that Daniel says he doesn't even remember and wondered why that address was on the ticket instead of the South Carolina Address the Portland City Elections Office had on file or the address Multnomah County has on file for my voter registration at the time? This all raises some important questions. Why not just ticket Daniel to begin with? And was there even a call from Safeway regarding a Trespass, the officers never interviewed the manager at that time even though he insisted? Why keep him handcuffed for so long in the back of the cruiser if it was just a trespass? Why would the F.B.I. have Daniel listed as a suspect in an investigation. Why would Multnomah County be involved?
Daniel is claiming that Anti-religious politicians in Oregon working with Marxist/Nazi National Socialist/ and Feminist groups dominate the Democrat Party in Oregon. That Daniel's Articles and Testimony is the reason for all these false investigations and the State of Oregon appears to be run like a communist state doing everything to protect State Interest and that according to his research they are basically stealing federal tax-payer money in the name of housing and welfare but using those dollars to prop up a covert totalitarianism that disregards the rights of people in poverty to maintain class segregation by socio-economic status, currently an unprotected class in Oregon. This research is consistent with the historical record of Oregon going back to the 1850's.
Daniel says, "Everything happening to me in Oregon, is happening to all people in poverty". They are keeping data bases on people in poverty that are connected to every agency including law enforcement but not allowing our grievances and complaints to reach the public record. This gives a very one-sided picture to the data and protects the State interests but in fact, these data bases are filled with data and notes on people that equate to nothing but slander on the part of State employees and partners. Not to mention they have control of the data so they can delete/edit and alter any of the data to suit their purposes. This is just a more advanced system then used in pre-war Nazi-Germany, but has the same agenda. What's happening in Oregon is dangerous, it fuels government dependency, strengthens anti-religious ideology, promotes stereotypes on the poor and disenfranchised and runs counter to all Christian teachings.
Daniel says, "I'm clearly innocent in this case. I have evidence that the court appointed lawyer was negligent to say the least. I have filed a "Motion to Dismiss" based on the violation of my right to a speedy trial as a Per Se Litigant, but right now the courts are pushing back on that legal document and insisting I take another court appointed lawyer. What audacity! They gave me a lawyer that I have evidence purposefully delayed my trial and mismanaged my case, collected no evidence on my behalf after months and many conversations together, and now the Polk County Court want me to do it all over again? I don't think so Polk County. This is all a violation of my rights and censorship against a religious journalist in one of the most supposedly liberal Democrat controlled States in the Union.
